When Spot is nowhere to be found, Mum and Dad find him gazing at the beautiful rainbow sunset that is such a feature of the outback. Have fun finding the animals under the flaps and also engaging your tiny person in exploring the world of nature.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Eats Lunch: a colours book
July 2023
- ISBN: 9780241618523
- Imprint: Puffin
- RRP: $16.99

Here’s another sweet board book for little ones to explore both colours and of course, just vocabulary of food. It’s super bold and colourful, with just two or three items on each page so particularly good for those really tiny ones who are just beginning to verbalise. And they will, of course, love the caterpillar munching a hole in each page. I think it would be super fun to taste test as many of the foods as possible but definitely making a big bowl of yummy fruit salad as per the conclusion would be a must!
Peter Rabbit: The Bedtime Bunny Hunt [a Lift-the-Flap Storybook]
Penguin Australia
July 2023
- ISBN: 9780241613108
- Imprint: Warne
- RRP: $16.99

This is just adorable! Not only are the illustrations sweet and endearing but it is a lovely story set in the cosy bunny burrow at bedtime. After Peter and his sisters have had a busy day playing outside, it’s time for bed. But Peter can’t find his favourite snuggly bunny toy. Little fingers will love helping Peter hunt for his missing toy with plenty of flaps – not just one every page or so – but more than one in many instances. There will be many teenies who will relate to having that one special bedtime cuddle friend and the fact that his sisters are willing to share their own (but Peter doesn’t want them to miss their own) is a lovely subtle reminder about sharing. This one moves up into your older little people so around 3- 5 years will love it.
