The crayons are funny and make an impact on kiddos every time they pop up in a new adventure. It is remarkable how utterly imbued each one is with a distinctive personality. In this most recent story, the Crayons are showcasing the wonders of the world in all its amazing colourways. And, naturally, each Crayon thinks of their own input as the best of all.
The text is clever and Oliver Jeffers’ illustrations are, as always, completely engaging and hilarious. There are SO many activities from the original Crayons book that anyone will find it easy to adapt some to suit this one.
And it goes without saying, that it’s a terrific way to get the smallest of Smalls thinking about ways we can care for our earth and the inhabitants, whether human or animal.
With the new movie based on the 1955 favourite , Harold and the Purple Crayon, coming up fast, it would be a super focus for some classroom fun of the creative kind with lots of crayon-ing artwork and crafting. Highly recommended for Smalls from around 4 years upwards with a 5 🖍️🖍️🖍️🖍️🖍️ !
