You’ll definitely have at least one kiddo who will be delighted with this new fun-filled cracker. I know a boy who I’m pretty sure will relish it.
Over the many years in libraries, the jokes and riddles section has always had the heaviest traffic in the non-fiction shelves. I’m pretty sure most kiddos go through this obsessive stage of driving everyone nuts with their idea of humour!
This one is really clever and cute. It has sections of themed jokes e.g. Elf Extravaganza, Tree Tales and Frosty Fun. It has Knock Knocks and riddles as well a Q&R each with Santa and Rudolph. Quizzes, crosswords, find-a-word, letter to Santa templates (for either naughty or nice) and an A-Z of Christmas.
It’s all good fun and really a cut above your average joke book. And when the family have had enough of all the jokes over Xmas lunch, then your kiddo can be amused with the interactive sections. Winner winner, turkey dinner!
By the way, did you know that the jokes in bonbons are very intentionally ‘lame’. The reason is so that even the most stupid of your relatives will ‘get it’ and groan.
I have often though not always made our own bonbons [kits are easy ]- here are some printable jokes if you want to make some too from The Craft Train. Or here The History of the Christmas Cracker.
In the meantime I think this will make a top stocking stuffer for a smaller human around 7-10 years, It’s definitely one of the more superior of its kind I’ve seen, and I’m giving it a 5 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄.
Who tells the best Christmas jokes?
Reindeer. They sleigh every time.
