Last year was the 10th anniversary of the You Choose series and this year, the legion of fans has been treated to this MEGA new title [which was on that same slow camel train recently] and naturally, it was immediately top of the pile for me.
And this time, my first attempt at some kind of success lasted a whole 8 choices. At least I didn’t die in the attempt – but someone else did, so really not good.
I, inevitably, achieve the ultimate worst results in all my many choices but it’s always hilarious (unless it’s downright creepy) playing along with one of George’s You Choose books.
His seriously inventive [some might say warped- I mean that in a very loving way, George!] imagination just keeps coming up with the most fantastical plots and twists. Having seen his presentation where he shows kiddos just how he plans out one of these adventures makes my head hurt. To do so repeatedly with such resounding success is a real triumph.
Join the school trip to the dinosaur- themed education complex which is especially exciting if you’re a fanosour, just as The Kid was, and her mum before her. Absolutely nothing can go wrong – unless, of course, you choose unwisely. Let’s see… you could meet a mad scientist, or you could cause dino-skeletons to collapse like one of those domino cascades; you might prevent a radiation impact but, inadvertently, cause humans and raptors to switch bodies; you could get so engrossed (without permission) in a computer game that you hold up the homeward bound ferry for an hour, and have all the teachers looking for you – DETENTION!; you could wreck an animatronic dinosaur by lobbing a firework at it; or you could end up with your best friend chomped by a malfunctioning T-rex mouth. It’s all fun and games on this excursion – well, except for the mutilations, maiming, mistaken identities, malfunctions and being missing stuff. Your kiddos will love it – and I’d hazard a guess to say that there will be plenty of bigger people who will pick it up and snaughle or groan their way through it. It’s another mega-success for George for this ever-popular series.
Of course you know your readers will want even more! it’s a roarsome 5 🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖rating!
