This is just pure delight from start to finish! Phil Cummings has cracked it again with a lively text that is super engaging, fun to read and so descriptive while, at the same time, encapsulating all those great things we appreciate about our mothers, for Smalls to reflect upon.
Paired with Hannah Marks’ lively and oh-so-bright-and-cheery illustrations, what’s not to love about this one? We’ve all seen those memes about the multi-faceted nature of a mother’s role and this clever book sums them up beautifully: doctor, chef, architect, zoo keeper, handyperson, crafter of costumes, chaser of spiders, singer and dancer, decorator, cubby builder, cuddler and BEST FRIEND and more!
What a great springboard into writing some special messages to Mums this would be if you are making cards or creating artworks in your classroom, library or at home.
