For those endless questioners, Idan Ben-Barak is heaven sent. He is always able to zone in on exactly what kids want to know about from the small questions to the big ones. And this is another fun book with plenty of answers to those never-ending queries.
Focusing on the nervous system and the senses, it’s an amusing examination of how we sense things, how our body responds to stimuli and many other absorbing thoughts: why do we get dizzy when we spin around? how do we know where our arms are, even with our eyes shut? how do we taste stuff? why do we feel pain? Of course there are other books – many of them, in fact – that deal with this subject matter.
The point of difference is that Idan creates scientific books in a way that even the Smalls can grasp the meaning. Your kiddos from around 4 will be perfectly able to understand what’s going on in this way and Zahra Zainal’s often hilarious illlustrations are the absolute perfect accompaniment! Thoroughly splendid all round – I’m giving it a 5 ๐ ๐๐๐๐ค rating.
