I think I’m officially in love with Sarah Jane Lightfoot’s books . After reviewing my first couple last year, I have no hesitation in asking for more when I see them. This one has been out for a while but only recently came to my attention. And, really, as we know that the Smalls are so entranced by dinosaurs from such an early age, what better way to get them started than one of Sarah’s gorgeous sculptured board books?

Even better, this one features our very own Australian dinos. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that if Jen had seen this when K was born she would have snapped it up and started her shared love of dinosaurs even sooner!

Each featured dino has been given a cute name derived from its scientific name which is captioned and given a pronunciation guide, and also has a new descriptive word to learn.

So your little paleontologist will not only absorb the names of the dinosaurs but also build on their everyday vocabulary. It’s just adorable all round! And gets a big dinoROAR 5 🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖 for Smalls from toddlers upwards to EC.
