First of all let me say, I love EVERY Nick Bland book without exception. They are both clever and always well-executed. And this long-time favourite must have been shared a gazillion times in libraries, classrooms and homes for the past 15 years.

It is both fun and true because Dads are all different, and yet the same (mostly). They are proud of us, they love us, they make fun for us, they teach us and they are always there for us. Of course, they can also be doofuses and sometimes get things wrong but that’s still something to love.

This 15th anniversary edition [another unbelievable anniversary!] brings this well-loved Bland book to an entire new audience who will also laugh and love along with the antics of these various animal dads.

Don’t you just love that sheepish Dad creeping up with the water bomb? I think that’s my favourite page though the swinging monkeys are a lot of fun as well. It’s a big hit with readers from toddlers up to around 8/9 years old so put it on your list for this years Dad’s day.
