Cute poster for your library or just for fun
All your Smalls who have adored Pearl and friends, are going to lap this up like a cat with a saucer of cream. It’s cute and it’s colourful and it’s really cleverly engaging with a twist on many ideas.
The Tinysaurs are, well, tiny. In fact, they are super tiny and constantly in danger of being squished by the regular-sized dinos. Imagine being stepped on by a Stegosaurus or a T-rex! EEEEK!! So for their own protection, they spend most of the time hiding in tunnels, and foraging for food in the undergrowth being mindful of staying clear of pounding feet heading their way.
But when there’s a landslide that blocks the main entrance to their tunnel maze, they have a problem. How will they get out to find food? It’s a mission to find another exit point among the tangle of tunnels they know well but have never thoroughly explored. It’s a mission with all the dinos going in different directions and when the glow-worms in their lanterns go on strike, it adds another level of difficulty.
But by sheer chance and stumbling accident, Ponysaur and friends find the Enchanted Valley. It’s the perfect place for little dinos to live, play and be safe, with beautiful surroundings, delicious food and useful plants they can use in their daily lives. Best of all, is that the valley has a special Guardian – the Invisible Cat – who will not only be a good friend to the Tinysaurs but a strong protector.
Your Smalls, mostly but not only girls, from around 6/7 years old will love this new series, I have no doubt so don’t hesitate to grab this first one. I’d suggest more than one copy!! Well done to Sally and Adele on a winning combination of cleveer narrative, cute illos and the rainbow text. It’s a 4 ๐๐๐๐rating for those newly independent readers.
